Proofpoint ITM (Saas/On Prem) Bootcamps

In my role at Proofpoint, as Logistics Coordinator III, I was the SME (Subject Matter Expert) of our most complicated product, ITM (On Prem and Saas).

My bootcamps are mostly targeted towards 2 things: Training my team on how to deploy, especially when processes change after integration, and teaching OM more about the product as well as how to approve it so that they can make a better understanding of what my team needs to see when they provide their approvals

The examples below detail the bootcamps that I planned, created, taught, and delivered at Proofpoint.

ITM Saas + On Prem Bootcamp for OM (October 2023)

(Cross-Departmental)

Due to the high rates of OM approving ITM calls, ITM Saas calls especially, wrong/erroneously, I was requested by an OM rep to hold a bootcamp for them, as ITM is a highly complex product that they believe their training does not go deep enough into. The Renewals team also asked to attend as they wanted to learn more about the product as well. It was later decided that it would best fit everyone's schedule if it was recorded with a small audience of OM Reps and SMEs and then distributed to the rest of the OM org.


Details about the bootcamp:
 

  • Bootcamp was recorded from 10/23/23 - 10/31/23

  • 7 Day Bootcamp

  • While it is mainly for SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), I went through everything from the fundamentals to the fanciest concepts - all recorded - so that any OM rep can watch it and understand the concepts and material.

  • This bootcamp is more targeted towards information presentation rather than hands on experience so the wiki is longer than the previous 2 bootcamps

  • The ITM Saas Quiz has 60 Questions (Optional but HIGHLY Recommended)

  • The ITM  On Prem Quiz has 30 Questions (Optional but HIGHLY Recommended)

ITM On Prem + Saas Bootcamp For Provisioning (2022)

(With Emphasis on ITM On Prem)

Details about the bootcamp:

  • Bootcamp was held around July (?) 2022

  • A New ITM Bootcamp was needed as ITM On Prem was integrated with CTS - and ITM Saas got more complex so review was neccesary for that as well.

  • 1 Week Bootcamp

  • 3 Hr 15 Minutes of recorded content

  • Created 54 practice calls and corresponding mock approvals

  • Created the Bootcamp 2.0 wiki with recordings of each session

  • Created a quiz for both ITM Saas and ITM On Prem (68 questions; scored)

  • Targeted at getting Hands on Experience so more action focused than reading focused

ITM On Prem Bootcamp for Provisioning (2020)

Details about the bootcamp:
 

  • Bootcamp was held around November (?) 2020

  • Created on ITM On Prem bootcamp and trained colleagues on the deployment of ObserveIT products. (Created 100+ approvals both correct and incorrect to teach team how and when to push back)

  • Ran for 1.5 weeks

  • Most arduous and thorough training ever given on my team

  • 10 hrs and 40 minutes of recorded content

  • Created a cheat sheet with cascading answers for each of the 100+ calls

  • Created 148 practice calls and 108 pages worth of approvals

  • Created a 20 page bootcamp wiki with recordings of each session

  • Created a 41 Question Quiz

  • Targeted at getting Hands on Experience so more action focused than reading focused
